That afternoon, return to Octola for ice sculpting and reindeer feeding, while younger travellers can continue the festive fun with a private elf experience.
Your adventure continues with snowmobiling and ice fishing on a frozen lake, including lunch around a traditional Lappish fire. The following day, meet the huskies for an exhilarating safari through the snow-covered forest.

4-Night Family Itinerary – Octola Private Wilderness
DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN THE ARCTIC
Rovaniemi → Octola Private Wilderness
Arrive into Rovaniemi, where your private driver will meet you for the short transfer into the wilderness.
Settle into your private accommodation and meet your dedicated wilderness guide before enjoying a relaxed lunch prepared by your private chef.
This afternoon:
Snowshoe through the private wilderness
Meet and feed Octola’s resident reindeer
Tobogganing and snow play for the children
Warm up beside the fire with hot chocolate
This evening:
Enjoy a private Nordic dinner prepared by the chef, followed by a traditional Finnish sauna and, weather permitting, your first Northern Lights experience.
DAY 2 – THE MAGIC OF SANTA & REINDEER
After breakfast, head out on a private Santa Claus experience, travelling through the snowy forest by reindeer-drawn sleigh.
Meet Santa in a private setting away from the crowds, with time for photographs and a special gift for the children.
Afternoon at Octola:
Private snow and ice sculpture experience
Tobogganing
Reindeer feeding
Children’s winter activities
For younger children, Octola can also arrange an elf experience, while parents can enjoy some quiet time in the spa.
Evening:
Private family dinner followed by an Aurora hunt with your wilderness guide.
DAY 3 – ARCTIC ADVENTURE
Today is all about adventure.
After breakfast, head into the wilderness for a private snowmobile experience, with specially adapted mini snowmobiles available for children.
Continue to a remote frozen lake for ice fishing, with lunch served beside a traditional Lappish fire.
Back at Octola:
Sauna and outdoor hot tub
Snow play
Skiing or snowshoeing
Family relaxation
For the evening, enjoy a relaxed dinner before heading outside for another opportunity to see the Northern Lights.
DAY 4 – HUSKIES & FAMILY TIME
After breakfast, meet a team of huskies and head into the snowy forest on a private husky safari.
This is a fantastic family experience, combining the excitement of the dogs with the tranquillity of the Arctic wilderness.
Return to Octola for lunch and a slower afternoon.

DAY 5 – A FINAL ARCTIC MORNING
